PRO1 – Post-production

Editing Diary

(0:00 – 0:05) – I wanted to start off with the background music to give the audience just some sort of comfortable feeling like “no this isn’t all gonna be sad”

(0:05 – 1:17) – Just a couple of cuts here and there but yh basically one long take and talk because i wanted to make it feel like and actual 1 to 1 conversation with someone like im having a talk with the person watching

(1:17 – 1:48) – I blurred the screen and showed text of what i was saying so people could understand better what the symptoms of depression and anxiety are

(1:49 – 2:56) – i said if it is mild depression they could get over it but after a couple secs i said you can’t just tell them to get over it and that made no sense what i was meant to say was if you let them deal with it on their own it’ll get worse

(2:57 – 4:27) – i put up various important things i was saying in the background to try and give them more of an emphasis and make them sound important which they are

(4:28 – 6:10) – I blurred the screen again and put up some of the side affects of the treatments in text and i went through most of the treatments used for anxiety and depression and tried to grab the audiences attention because i thought it would be boring just looking at me read

(6:11 – 10:08) – i conducted the interview and mashed them all together instead on one long answer form one person i manged to get all 3 of them to answer the question then move on to then next it looked much more professional and felt right to me i also blurred the face to keep them anonymous and whenever i felt like the audience couldn’t understand them or what they were saying was important i just put subtitles on them

(10:09 – 12:25) – i recorded my voice and i put a video of someone walking around the London train station  to save time and energy because i had to edit and hand it in that same day and same goes for before whenever i say something important i was sure to put up text and when i mentioned a singer i put up a pic of them.
